Overview
A Vice Chancellor of University of Santa Barbara, Jeffrey C. Stewart, engaged with me to co-develop and deliver a landmark AI symposium designed to unite students, faculty, clinicians, mental health practitioners, researchers, technologists, and industry leaders to explore AI’s impact on healthcare, medicine, mental health, education, and social justice.
Goals
1. Educate and engage multidisciplinary audiences on the role of AI in clinical decision-making, mental health, medical equity, patient outcomes, and education.
2. Foster connection and trust across students, faculty, researchers, and healthcare practitioners in the absence of established university-wide AI policy.
3. Position the university as a catalyst for responsible, health-centered AI discussion and collaboration.
